DescriptionAndrea Pireddu, was graduated in Composition with the maximum of the votes at the Conservatory Giovanni Pierlugi da Palestrina of Cagliari in the class of M° Emilio Capalbo. He began to study Composition in the class of M° Vittorio Montis and he has followed courses and master class conducted by M° Franco Oppo, M° Gian Piero Cartocci, M° Gianluigi Mattietti, M° Ivan Fedele, M° Luca Francesconi and M° Romeo Scaccia. He also studied several years in the course of Music and New Technologies at the Conservatory of Cagliari initially under the guidance of M° Francesco Giomi and then of M° Elio Martuscello. He became the finalist at the first edition of the “Gian Piero Cartocci Music Composition Competition 2007” organized by the Conservatory of Cagliari, thanks to his composition “dear Debussy,…”. Pieces like “Metropolitan Fantasy” and “Bug World” have been performed respectively in the third edition of Musica per due pianoforti e per pianoforte a quattro mani, year 2007, and in the Festival Spaziomusica XXVI of the same year (...)
